Welcome to USBOXLA Academy’s Backstage PASS for USBOXLA Coaches, Referees and Directors

The USBOXLA Academy’s Backstage PASS  is the on-line educational and certification portal of the US Box Lacrosse Association.  It is the largest and most thorough educational platform ever developed for the sport of Box Lacrosse.  Only US Box Lacrosse Association (USBOXLA) sanctioned leagues have access to this platform.

USBOXLA Directors Course and League Sanctioning


This course is the USBOXLA Director Training Module and League Sanctioning Program.  In it directors will learn:

-the tools of the back end of the USBOXLA Player Membership system

-injury reporting and filing claims

-USBOXLA Medical and Safety Guide

-concussion awareness programs

-how to acquire USBOXLA Insurance Certificates for facilities

-membership search tools

-Medical Trainer Guide

-access to Official USBOXLA Game Sheet

-learn the game of USBOXLA branded Box Lacrosse with immediate Backstage PASS access to both the USBOXLA Level 1 Referee Certification Course and USBOXLA Level 1 Coaches Certification Course so you too can become USBOXLA Level 1 Certified.

Once you complete this course your league will be Officially USBOXLA Sanctioned and you will be given a unique code to grant and track Backstage PASS access to your staff of Referees and Coaches so that they may become USBOXLA Certified.

This course can be accessed at any time for support and resources to ensure your league is the safest and most professional in the USA.

USBOXLA Level 1 Coach Certification Course - ACCESS GRANTED ONLY THROUGH SANCTIONED LEAGUE DIRECTOR


This USBOXLA Level 1 Coaches Certification Course Course is comprised of 7 Modules, 48 Units and 3 quizzes. Coaches will be able to download and print the Official 2016 USBOXLA Rules and Situational Book. It is the most comprehensive Box Lacrosse coaches training ever developed for this game. Upon successful completion of the course you will be able to download the USBOXLA Level 1 Coaches Certificate.

USBOXLA Level 1 Referee Certification Course - ACCESS GRANTED ONLY THROUGH SANCTIONED LEAGUE DIRECTOR


This Certification Course is comprised of 11 Modules, 57 Units, 3 pop quizzes and 1 final exam.  It is the most comprehensive referee training platform ever developed for Box Lacrosse. Students will be able to download and print the Official 2016 USBOXLA Rules and Situational Book. Upon successful completion of the course, a downloadable USBOXLA Level 1 Referee Certificate and access to the Official USBOXLA Referee Uniform shop is granted.

Over 30 Years of Top Box Lacrosse Experience
Coach of Canada’s U19 Men’s lacrosse team and Assistant Coach of the 2014 World Cup Champions Team Canada Men’s Lacrosse program. Brown is also the Associate Head coach of the 2015 NCAA Lacrosse Champions the University of Denver and is the architect of one of the most lethal and talked about offenses in Division 1 NCAA. When people talk about how Box Lacrosse is changing the College game, Brown can be argued as this movement’s current flag bearer.  Before coaching at the University of Denver Matt was a standout offensive star for both the Denver Outlaws and DU.  He’s one of the MLL’s top all time goal scorers.  A Canadian Box player, Matt won an unprecedented 3 Minto Cup Canadian Junior A Championships with the Burnaby Lakers.  He went on to a stellar career in the NLL with the Arizona Sting and the Colorado Mammoth.

SHAYDON SANTOS

Over 30 Years of Top Box Lacrosse Experience
A 12 year NLL veteran and World Champion, Santos enjoyed a stellar career as a defensive specialist and also as an NLL coach.   As a community development ambassador and program director Santos taught the game of lacrosse to over 10,000 Bay Area Students. Before captaining California’s pro Box lacrosse team, the San Jose Stealth, Shaydon captained the Whitby Warriors Jr A team, a team that continually produces some of the top offensive players in NCAA D1 .

Santos’ sister Troyhann, a JMU standout enjoyed 4 World Cups and captained 2 Team Canada teams.  She’s been instrumental in the development and growth of girl’s Box Lacrosse in Canada.
